Emergency Electrical Outage Restoration – Transwestern (Austin,TX)

At 6 a.m. on a Friday, Transwestern’s five-story office tower, which was fully occupied, lost all power. The 2,000-amp electrical switchgear and electrical distribution panel was a special-order system with a six-week minimum delivery lead time. In addition, there was an unanticipated replacement of Austin Energy’s primary electrical transformer before power could be restored.

TDIndustries was called into action to:
• Restore electrical power safely and quickly – by no later than the following Thursday
• Recommend a satisfactory solution that could meet the demanding schedule

TD team members successfully worked to:
• Tap into TD’s electrical distribution and equipment dealer network
• Recommend a special design electrical switch panel and distribution panel by Siemens that offered next-day delivery
• Expedite equipment design, manufacturing and delivery of the Siemens equipment
