The Texas Rangers wanted the players and fans to enjoy summer baseball in air-conditioned comfort, so they moved across the street to Globe Life Field. This stadium seats 40,000, has a retractable roof, and many luxurious upgrades. Opened in 2020, this stadium's name is closely related to the previous stadium, Globe Life Park.
TDIndustries, which has a long history of work on domed stadiums, installed nearly 1.9 million pounds of sheet metal, 26 miles of hydronic pipe, 860 water closets, and 2,600 total plumbing fixtures in 30 months on this design-assist project. TD also assisted with specific anchor strategies common on retractable roof stadiums.
