TDIndustries Wins ABC 2021 Excellence in Construction Award in Houston

HOUSTON - (November 22, 2021) – The Associated Builders and Contractors of Greater Houston (ABC) recognized TDIndustries, Inc. at the 21^st annual Excellence in Construction Awards (EIC), which showcased 53 projects built by ABC Greater Houston members. This event, established in 2000, recognizes outstanding projects in the commercial and industrial construction industry.

TDIndustries’ entry, the Memorial Hermann Pavilion II (Sarofim Pavilion) project Houston, was evaluated by local owners, architects and engineers on ingenuity and execution of design, craftsmanship, safety, attention to detail and other considerations. With 23 categories, and two major awards, the ICE Award and the Merit Award, the selected entries are considered the best of merit shop construction. TD’s project with general contractor Vaughn Construction received the ICE Award for the "Mechanical Over $25M" entry.

The Memorial Hermann Pavilion II (Sarofim Pavilion) project began in early 2017 and was completed in 2020. The 20-story tower provides an additional 1.34 million square feet to the existing 2.5 million square-foot campus, allowing for the expansion of trauma, critical care, heart and vascular services. This project included new operating room floors, with a helipad and triage center along with a specialty care unit for burn victims.
