DALLAS - (February 22, 2022) – As The Link at Uptown luxury office tower in Dallas draws in tenants to its stunning location, TDIndustries celebrates the completion of the mechanical construction phase of the design-build project.
Design-build refers to the project delivery method that provides both design and construction services as one unified flow of work from conception to completion. Over its three years of planning and construction with the owner and project partners, TD installed all of the HVAC, plumbing and building controls for the project, including three 300-ton chillers on the building’s roof.

"On a core and shell office tower, the primary design challenge is providing for the future," Welch said. "You don’t want to bring in a tenant and have them rip out what you just put in. With the plumbing, you want to offer flexibility for a break room at the far end of the floor or a private restroom for an executive, yet still execute cost-effectively."
