The McKenzie is a 22-story, 183-unit residential high-rise with luxurious apartment homes for lease Dallas with our long-term customer, StreetLights Residential. It was a new-construction project with some design-assist services. TDIndustries was awarded both the plumbing and HVAC contracts.
The plumbing contract was for a completely new construction scope including all sanitary sewer, domestic water, storm, and gas with high-level fixture trim packages. The HVAC contract included mostly DX split-system air conditioning systems, LG VRF systems for all corridors and the bottom three floors of units (due to refrigerant line length restrictions), a 100 percent outside air rooftop unit for corridor fresh air and pressurization, and all individual unit venting.
As with all high-rises, special attention was paid to the refrigerant line lengths and the maximum actual length of 200 ft. The single-stack ProVent PVC sanitary sewer system, which is standard installation for TD’s Multifamily team, was also used.
