TDIndustries Welcomes 2023 Summer College Interns

TDIndustries is delighted to welcome 19 dynamic and talented rising stars in the construction industry to its 2023 college summer internship program. These remarkable students represent 11 educational institutions and will support eight of TDIndustries’ lines of business in five Texas and Arizona cities.

This month, TD’s 2023 intern class embarked upon an exciting journey that will give them the tools, knowledge and experience to grow personally and professionally. “TD has a history of recruiting outstanding interns, and this year’s class is no different,” said Derek Dostal, Senior Director of Talent Acquisition. “We believe that this talented, diverse and enthusiastic class will inevitably grow to become successful leaders in our field. This group is eager to learn and grow.”

Recruiting Coordinator Emilea Lopez, a former TD intern, bolstered Derek’s sentiments, “Here at TD we pride ourselves on investing in young talent through our annual summer internship. This year we have a solid group of students who will be involved with many different projects.” Emilea will be leading the internship program this summer.

According to Emilea, “The interns are excited and ready to learn the ‘ins and outs’ of the industry while being exposed to different teams and job sites. This year's cohort is ready for the challenge and hungry to learn.”

During the summer, each intern will work on hands-on projects within their respective areas of expertise. There will also be several virtual gatherings designed to provide opportunities to learn about safety, do a deep dive into the history and culture of TDIndustries and learn more about the construction and facilities service industries. Finally, our interns will observe a panel discussion featuring several former TD interns who are now employee-owners, highlighting keys to career development and life at TDIndustries.  

Derek continued, “I am extremely excited about the 2023 Interns and what they will deliver this summer. I also look forward to having them join TDIndustries as employee-owners in the future.” TDIndustries and employee-owners are tremendously grateful for the fresh ideas, unique perspectives and enthusiasm that these interns will bring to the workplace. The TD team is excited to see the 2023 interns shine.
