TDIndustries Receives ASA Award for Design-Build Project

DALLAS - (June 17, 2022) – The American Subcontractors Association of North Texas presented a Platinum award to TDIndustries for design-build mechanical and controls work on The Link at Uptown, a 25-story luxury office tower in Uptown Dallas. The honor was announced at the 44th Annual ASA North Texas Chapter Awards on June 2 at The Statler hotel in Dallas.

As one of the largest design-build projects in TD’s portfolio, The Link required three years of planning and construction amid pandemic challenges and the limitations of a tight urban footprint. TD provided full core and shell mechanical design and construction—including HVAC, plumbing and building controls. The project team installed three 300-ton chillers on the building’s roof, 11 air handler units, plumbing and fixtures for 18 core restrooms on office floors and six restrooms for the men’s and women’s locker rooms on the amenity level (14th floor) and more.

"The Link at Uptown is a milestone accomplishment for TD,"  says Gary Roden, VP of Design-Build Business Development. "Our design and construction teams worked in tandem with owner Kaizen Development Partners, BOKA Powell Architects and general contractor Balfour Beatty from early planning to completion."

Drawing from its success with The Link at Uptown, TD continues to grow its capabilities in design-build, prefabrication and modular construction. TD is committed to being a leader in the implementation of these advanced construction techniques, which result in safer job sites and higher quality finished buildings.

The American Subcontractors Association adheres to and promotes quality construction, ethical and equitable business practices, safety in the work environment and best industry practices. TDIndustries is honored to have its work recognized among North Texas industry leaders and congratulates the other honorees. TD has a history of prioritizing safety and producing award-winning work. Earlier this year the company won national ABC awards for Globe Life Field in Arlington and Moody Amphitheater at Waterloo Park in Austin.
