TDIndustries Takes Part in Back to School Donation Drives

At TDIndustries, we practice Servant Leadership. Our mission and values as Servant Leaders guide all of our relationships – with customers‚ suppliers‚ communities and among ourselves.

As you may have noticed, it's back to school week currently for much of the country. Partners across TD recently took part in several donation drives to serve schools and children in need, as well as to join in important United Way efforts.

These Partner efforts greatly help the schools that shape the communities we work in, as well as provide needed supplies and opportunity for deserving children. With these donations, many children will have successful years with the necessary items to succeed.

San Antonio Partners took part in The United Way Write Start Project, a back-to-school initiative targeting those who make a difference in the lives of children, the teachers. The Write Start Project is aligned with United Way's work to support Ready Children and Successful Students.

Partners helped assemble 5,000 bags which went to 88 schools in the San Antonio School District. TD hand-delivered a total of 98 bags, where 52 went to Miller's Point Elementary School and 46 to Crestview Elementary schools.

The school was chosen based on need, provided to TD by United Way. Because of Partner and company donations, they were able to deliver an incredible supply count of 5,036 items, which represented a 13% increase by 591 items over their 2018 donations!

Partners took part in a month-long donation drive for Jack Lowe Sr. Elementary School in Dallas. And this week, several Partners delivered more than 1,500 lbs. of supplies for the school and an entire pallet (800 lbs. worth) of paper.

TD and the Lowe Family have long been a proud supporter of Jack Lowe Sr. Elementary and the important work the school does for children in the Vickery Meadow neighborhood of Dallas. It is one of only three schools nominated for a 2019 National Blue Ribbon Award.
