Why I Became An Engineer - Alexander's Story

In honor of National Engineers Week, TDIndustries is sharing the stories of some of our young engineers and what inspired them to enter the industry. In a rapidly changing world, technology and society have redefined some aspects of the engineering profession. Earlier, Brandon shared how his family shaped his interest and supported his efforts in college.

EIT and Mechanical Designer Alexander tells his story and how a little curiosity can spawn a career.

“Engineering allows me to study life and its most natural habitats--the known and the unknown. I have always had a keen interest in why and how things work and what makes them “tick.” Being able to study the world as well as be innovative and creative all inspired me to become an engineer. Every one thing has the potential to be a better version of itself."

Thank you to Alexander for sharing his personal story and inspiring us to think a little deeper.
