TD Helps Shape Coolest Office in Austin

With TD's history and expertise in the HVAC field, Partners are use to making buildings cool. For one recent TD HVAC project in Central Texas, the definition of cool has taken on another meaning. The Eastside Tech Hub was recently named the "coolest office in Austin," by the Austin Business Journal!

The building is a state-of-the-art office that acts as an extension of H-E-B's digital team from their San Antonio headquarters, as well as the headquarters for on-demand delivery company Favor.

TD's scope of work in the office, 90% of which was installed exposed, included:

• LG Variant Refrigerant Flow (VRF) System that included (75) Fan coil unit (FCU) cassettes & (5) Condenser units with more than 3,000 LF of soldered refrigerant piping
• (4) Enviro-Tec ESL Multizone Air Handling Units on elevated mezzanine levels within the space
• (25) Hydronic Heating Coils for multizones
• (5) Variable Air Volume (VAV) Units
• New ductwork & air devices (majority of the new ductwork was round, flanged, single wall, & internally lined)
• New hydronic piping for chilled water and heating water
• (4) 48" x 114" Gravity Ventilator Fans on the roof
• (4) 21,000 CFM Relief fans on the roof

Subcontracted scopes under TDs contract:

• Insulation of Hydronic and Refrigerant piping
• Controls
• Water Treatment
• Test & Balance
