TD Named To Contractor Magazine's 2018 Book of Giants

Contractor Magazine released its 2018 Book of Giants, and TDIndustries remained on the list.

The list ranks the largest mechanical contractors in the United States by region and overall, and describes key issues the industry faces. TD ranked No. 3 in the South in terms of revenue for 2017, and No. 6 overall. In the national trades rankings, TD was No. 1 in plumbing ($188 million), No. 2 in HVAC ($266), and No. 7 in piping ($121). TD is consistently on this list, moving up one spot from last year’s rankings.

Hattie Peterson, TD Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications, was one of three industry leaders featured. She discussed the construction market, workforce issues, and technology.

When asked how TD is finding elusive craftworkers, Peterson had this to say:

 “Our recruiting efforts are focused not only on hiring experienced tradespeople, but also new graduates from both high school and college, both women and veterans. Additionally, we believe in life-long careers. Training, both technically and in the soft skills such as management and leadership, is critical.”
