TDIndustries Wins Award for Diversity Excellence by the Associated Builders and Contractors

TD Champions a Culture of Diversity among Subcontractors

Dallas, Texas – TDIndustries (TD) was recently recognized by the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) for Diversity Excellence in the Subcontractors Over $14 Million category. The award was given during ABC’s 25^th Annual Excellence in Construction (EIC) Awards program on March 5, 2015 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where TDIndustries was also honored with an EIC Pyramid Award for its work on the Parkland Hospital Central Utility Plant.

TDPartner, and Senior Superintendent, Tony Creed accepted the Diversity Excellence Award this year on the company’s behalf. TD previously won the ABC Diversity Excellence Award in the same category last year as well. Maureen Underwood, Executive Vice President of People [HR] Department said, “Winning this award for the third year in a row is validation of our commitment to diversity. It is evident throughout our company and begins at day one with our new hires. We all strive for a culture of inclusion, acceptance and understanding, not just within the company but with our customers and community as well.”

A panel of judges with expertise in diversity in the engineering and construction industry chose TD for the category based on diversity training, hiring and retention, company diversity composition, contractor/vendor relationships and statistics. The award submission included information on the company’s Diversity Council, a group of TDPartners from all levels of the organization who devise diversity strategies, initiatives and educational opportunities for TDIndustries. Six industry firms were selected in six categories.
