TDPartners Present Golf Tournament Proceeds to the CEF

TDPartners take pride in serving our communities and the future of our industry, and one example of both includes the annual Bent Iron Golf Tournament in North Texas, where all proceeds benefit the Construction Education Foundation (CEF).

This past month, Partners traveled to the CEF offices in Irving, TX, to present an incredible $22,000 check as a result!

During the golf tournament, funds for the CEF were raised through the registration fees for teams, larger sponsorships (lunch, hole-in-one, dinner, prizes, etc.) and a day of raffles. This tournament has evolved into a North Texas event across TD's Service, Construction, Engineering, and Facilities teams, as well as a mix of these business unit vendors and customers.

CEF3

The CEF is a college dedicated to providing students and employees in the construction industry with ways to broaden their skill levels and attend classes that will enable them to advance their current employment situation or further their industry careers. The craft training program expands from North Texas to East Texas, and the CEF is also helping provide TD with the administrative work on its new apprenticeship training program in Austin.

CEF President/Executive Director Jane Hanna (left) and Chairman of the Board Chris Peck (right) accept the check from TD.Donations to the CEF support student scholarships and other programs that help fulfill CEF's promise to future generations that further education is possible, regardless of financial standing.

Partnering to benefit CEF was a natural fit. This event helps further TD's legacy with CEF, for which we are an active participant with Partner enrollment.

Big thanks to so many Partners for contributing to the golf tournament committee, and in turn making a difference in other industry professionals' lives!
